XTC 2018

Extreme Timber Challenge (XTC)- Sat, Sept 8th, 2018 – Wave times available from 8am-11:15am

The XTC is a 4 mile obstacle course with 40+ unique obstacles including: Hand Held Zip Lines, Devil Steps, Mud Pits, Bluff Climbs, the Vertigo Bus, Inverted Monkey Bars, Rope Climb, Floating Tires, The Great Walls, Tarzan Rings and much more TBA soon!
The Timber Challenge is a locally owned & operated permanent obstacle course located on over 100 wooded acres along the bluffs of the Kansas River. We offer a unique experience to ALL levels of athletes from beginners to the elite; this event is for everyone 12+.
Registration includes: race entry, t-shirt, souvenir wristband, 3 inch finisher medal, tons of event pictures, water stations, fresh fruit and access to the party zone at the start / finish line.
This is a CHALLENGE; not a race. Make sure to celebrate the finish line; not the finish time! Stay tuned for course map release along with new obstacle announcements coming soon!

The Festival includes Music, Contests, Giveaways, Games, Sampling and more! Vendor Food/Drinks are available at an additional charge OR bring your own outside food & beverages.

Chaos Course will have mini Ninja Games to play. Come and challenge your friends or try to be an all time score winner!
KCOI will be handing out free items such as towels and chap stick and providing information on our Ortho Urgent Care service and Rehab/Physical Therapy services.  They will also be answering any questions anyone has about the orthopedic health care services their hospital provides.
Spin The Wheel to win Prizes and Play Yard Games (Bags, Ladder Ball, Putskee, Giant Checkers, Bocce Ball & more at The KC Crew Game Zone!
DQ will be giving out FREE DILLY BARS! Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a restaurant that serves your favorite old fashioned Soft Serve Products as well as their famous chicken strip baskets, burgers, fries & more! Stop by the Bonner Springs location after the race to replenish your body! (103 E. Front St. Bonner Springs KS)
Sprouts Farmers Market will have a free “Build Your Own Trail Mix Station” and fresh produce samples!
The Beef Jerky Outlet Kansas City/Legends Outlets will have a tent with samples of some of everyone’s favorite jerky flavors and a few for purchase to give you that extra edge over the competition. There will also be a corn hole game set out so you can challenge your friends to friendly game, the winner will receive a card for a free stick at the Beef Jerky Outlet.
Heart & Soul Quality Foods will be handing out free samples of edamame.
Natural Way Wellness Center will be providing pre and post race therapies consisting of isometric relaxation (PIR), proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and trigger point therapy. PIR and PNF strtches not only improve flexibility, but also improve muscular strength. Trigger point therapy alleviates tension and hypertonicity in muscle bellies, which in turn removes aches and pain and improves flexibility.  With the combination of these therapies, the athletes will have reduced chemical and physical stresses on their joints and run at an optimal level.
Infused – Infused is an exclusively mobile medical spa dedicated to providing you the most efficient way to revitalize your body, inside and out. We offer IV infusions, IM injections, and cosmetic injectables such as Botox, Dysport, and dermal fillers. At our booth, we will provide our IV and IM services to help participants recover from the Timber Challenge and maximize their physical gains from the event.
Meet KCOCR (A local group of OCR racers). They host weekly training events and other meet ups. When you get involved in their group, you’re guaranteed to know people at every race you run, to be supported, lifted up and challenged!
